Recently, a Paramedic user of the VORTRAN Automatic Resuscitator experienced an event with a patient who suffers from epileptic seizures who wasn't able to be resuscitated with a standard device called a Bagged valved mask system (BVM). The clinician decided to use the VAR in place of the bag and was able to save the child and transport them safely to the hospital for further treatment. The white paper explains what he experienced.
