I had a terrible experience with Karman Healthcare, Inc. and their product. They don't stand behind their product and give you the runaround when you contact them; doing all they can to frustrate the customer into giving up. I would advise anyone considering purchasing any of their products to research well and if you decide to go ahead, when you receive the product, inspect it well. I did and several red flags were raised, but stupidly I chose to ignore them primarily because cosmetically it looked attractive and I'd given my old wheelchair away in my excitement of receiving this one. The old wheelchair was old and needed changing definitely, but not with the cheap rubbish manufactured by Karman. If I didn't give in to laziness, I should used this wheelchair until I ordered and received the real thing from a reliable company like Invacare, which stands behind its product and returned this rubbish. After wasting money on this, I now have to go buy the Invacare as the Karman is unusable and dangerous to try. I have scoured the internet for reviews about this company and all I see are raves. This wasn't my experience. I bought the wheelchair in September 2017, this is January 2018 and several things have already gone wrong with it. Within about five weeks, just when it was too late to return it, it started falling apart. It is made to look aesthetically appealing to hide the fact that it is poorly and cheaply made, with parts that bend or fall off within a few weeks to months of use. What's remarkable is that the wheelchair was only used indoors, yet it wasn't durable even for such light use.
